Items Needed:
1- Alignment Stick (https://amzn.to/4iDh7TO)
2- Range Balls
3- Tees (https://amzn.to/3Yz5Cph)
4- Driver
Setup:
1- Set up an alignment stick so you can set up your stance aimed where you want to go
2- Place a tee 2 yards in front of you as a reference point for your start line of each shot.
Drill:
1- Hit 5 balls, pay attention to the starting line before they start curving.
2- For RH Golfer, if the ball starts left, clubface was closed. If ball starts right, clubface was open.
3- If club face was open, try supinating during the downswing. (For RH golfer, imagine loosening a screw with your lead hand.)
4- If club face was closed, grip may be too strong. A strong grip is not referencing how tightly you are grasping the club. It refers to hand position. Try rotating lead hand so that the thumb is more on top of the shaft than behind it.
5- Hit 5 more balls after making the appropriate adjustment.
6- Continue making adjustments until you are consistently starting the ball on a relatively straight line.
7- Ignore curvature, we’ll get to that later.
