Privacy Policy
The Scratch App · The Scratch Plan LLC · Last updated: July 21, 2026
The short version: The Scratch App does not collect your personal information. Everything you log — your rounds, practice sessions, and test scores — is stored on your own device and never sent to us. We have no servers holding your data, and we do not sell or share your information.
Who we are
The Scratch App is published by The Scratch Plan LLC, Bountiful, Utah, United States. If you have any questions about this policy, contact us at jake@thescratchplan.com.
What the app stores on your device
The Scratch App saves the information you enter directly on your phone or tablet, using your device’s local browser storage. This includes:
- Strokes Gained rounds you track (shots, clubs, distances, lies, scores, and your round history)
- Practice sessions you log and the diagnoses generated from them
- Skill test results and score history
- Your settings, such as your club list and your target handicap benchmark
This information stays on your device. It is not transmitted to The Scratch Plan LLC, and we cannot see it.
What we do not collect
- We do not require an account, and we do not ask for your name, email address, or phone number inside the app.
- We do not use analytics or tracking software in the app.
- We do not show ads.
- We do not build advertising profiles, and we do not sell or rent your data to anyone.
- We do not access your location, contacts, photos, microphone, or camera.
Third-party services
A few features connect to outside services. When they do, those companies receive standard technical information such as your device’s IP address, and their own privacy policies apply:
- Google Fonts — the app loads its typefaces from Google’s font servers.
- YouTube — drill and fix videos are hosted on YouTube. When you tap a video, it opens in your device’s browser and YouTube’s privacy policy governs that playback.
Subscriptions and payments
If you purchase a subscription, the transaction is handled entirely by the Apple App Store or Google Play. We never receive or store your payment card details. The app stores can share limited purchase information with us (such as whether a subscription is active) so we know which features to unlock for you.
Deleting your data
Because your data lives on your device, you are in control of it. Uninstalling the app, or clearing its storage in your device settings, permanently deletes everything the app has saved. There is nothing stored on our servers for us to delete. Please note that uninstalling is irreversible — your logged rounds and test history cannot be recovered afterward.
Children’s privacy
The Scratch App is intended for a general adult audience of golfers and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Our website
This policy covers The Scratch App mobile and web application. If you buy a subscription or join an email list through thescratchplan.com, information you submit there (such as your email address) is handled by our website and our checkout and email providers.
Changes to this policy
If we change how the app handles information, we will update this page and revise the “Last updated” date above.
